Zerindra White Paper
This White Paper is currently in a "Living State." To optimize the Zerindra ecosystem before and during Beta Phase, all technical and economic parameters are subject to refinement. By continuing, you acknowledge that you are reviewing an early-stage protocol framework.
One World, Zero Uncontrolled Waste
Important Notice of Evolution: This White Paper is a living document. During the Beta Phase, the Zerindra Sustainability Protocol reserves the right to amend, update, or refine the technical parameters, economic models, and governance rules described herein to ensure the long-term stability and integrity of the ecosystem.
1. Introduction
Zerindra is an innovative mobile league designed to address the urgent challenge of climate change. It introduces a unique "Proof-of-Effort" model that intertwines purpose and reward, allowing users to become active "eco-conscious citizens" and measure their individual and societal impact to achieve net-zero goals.
Zerindra isn't just about personal progress; it's about global impact, fostering a community of "leaguers from around the world" who work together to verify and achieve shared sustainability goals. The ZRND token serves as the primary medium of exchange, utility and governance within this ecosystem.
2. The Problem
Uncontrolled waste and its environmental impact pose a significant threat to our planet. Current solutions often lack direct, tangible incentives for individual participation and fail to provide a sense of shared community and measurable impact. This gap between individual action and collective purpose is what Zerindra aims to fill.
3. How It Works: The Zerindra Ecosystem
Category |
Zerindra Rules |
Recyclable Items |
Place Plastic, Paper, Cardboard, Glass, Metal, Organic Waste, Batteries, and Textiles into bins specifically marked for that material (e.g., "Plastic," "Glass"), or into a general "Recyclable Waste" bin. |
General Garbage |
Place all other trash into bins marked "General Waste" or "Trash." |
Act & Snap: Users perform a waste disposal activity and take a photo of it directly within the application.
Peer Validation: To ensure accuracy without centralization, the photo is verified by another Zerindra participant. This fosters a community of trust and accountability. Before reaching human validators, photos pass through an AI filter to detect duplicates and prevent fraud.
Dispute Resolution: Users can dispute rejected activities. Disputes are resolved via an AI-assisted admin interface. These decisions are final and not subject to further appeal.
The League & Rewards
A user's daily score is calculated using a unique formula based on three key metrics:
• Count (C): The number of verified activities completed.
• Validation (V): The number of validations performed for others.
• Days Active (D): Consistency over the last 30 days.
At the end of each day, the total ZRND tokens committed to the daily pool - less the sustainability fee - are redistributed to all active participants based on their points.
The sustainability fee is allocated for ecosystem maintenance, server infrastructure, fixes, improvements and ensuring long-term sustainability. The fee is dynamically adjusted - with a hard cap of 20% encoded in the governance parameters - and is currently set at 20%. The sustainability fee is a service charge for the verification of real-world impact activities and is not a commission or a wager or a gambling rake.
4. The ZRND Token
The ZRND token is a foundational component of the Zerindra project. It has a fixed total supply of 1,500,000,000 tokens, with no minting or burning after deployment. The token contract is a standard ERC-20 token on the Avalanche C-Chain.
To begin their 30-day journey, users need to commit 30 ZRND tokens. Each day, 1 ZRND token is committed to the daily league pool.
The ZRND token is the foundational utility component of the Zerindra project.
• Total Supply: Fixed at 1,500,000,000 ZRND.
• Policy: No minting or burning is permitted after deployment.
• Standard: ERC-20 token on the Avalanche C-Chain.
To begin their journey, users need to commit 30 ZRND tokens for 30 days. Each day, 1 ZRND token from this commitment is entered into the daily league pool.
5. The Plan
Zerindra is currently in the Alpha phase, where features are being tested by a limited number of users. The conclusion of the Alpha phase will be announced here at zerindra.io
Zerindra will launch with a "Beta Phase" – a period lasting up to 360 days or 90.000.000 tokens provided to early users whichever comes first. During the Beta Phase, Sustainability Protocol will provide early users - upon demand - every 30 days with the 30 ZRND units needed to start participating - limited to a maximum of 180 ZRND units if available per user.
During the Beta Phase, Sustainability Protocol will provide a maximum of 1.500.000 token units to early users at the first month. Maximum number will increase by 50% every month.
During the Beta Phase, ZRND units are recorded on the internal application ledger to demonstrate tangible real-world impact. On-chain settlement (claiming) is deferred until the Beta Phase ends to ensure stability.
This strategy is designed to build a dedicated user base, gather data, and demonstrate the tangible, real-world impact of the application before a market is established.
Upon the completion of the Beta Phase, ZRND earned by early users during the Beta Phase will be unlocked by the Sustainability Protocol gradually at a rate of 30 ZRND per month. Users will then be able to claim their unlocked tokens to a self-custodial wallet (MetaMask).
This structured release prevents market volatility and rewards long-term commitment to the league’s environmental goals.
Upon the completion of the Beta Phase, all participants – early or new users - can acquire the necessary activation ZRND units via the free market from early users.
After the Beta Phase, the Zerindra Protocol acts as the Stabilizer of Last Resort. If free market demand for ZRND at any time exceeds the available community supply - resulting in price volatility that makes the 30-unit activation requirement unaffordable for new users - the Sustainability Protocol is authorized to release and sell ZRND units directly at free market value. These proceeds are utilized to fund protocol operations, and the mechanism ensures that the cost of participation remains equitable for all global users.
6. Token Distribution
The token supply is allocated as follows:
• Airdrops: 15.00%
• Team: 10.00%
• Investors, Founders, Core Contributors: 15.00%
• Foundation Treasury: 20.00%
• Launchpad: 10.00%
• Advisors: 5.00%
• Marketing: 15.00%
• Liquidity: 10.00%
7. Governance
Initially, the ZRND token will be held in a 2-of-3 multisig wallet. This provides a secure, temporary measure during the project's initial phase.
The long-term vision is to transfer ownership and governance of the token to a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO). This transition will enable the community to control the future of the ecosystem, including voting on proposals and authorizing other dApps to interact with the metadata contract.
Zerindra values transparency. Our core smart contract(s) are available for public audit at https://github.com/Zerindra/blockchain while our proprietary engine remains closed-source to ensure ecosystem security and fraud prevention.
8. Why Zerindra Stands Out
Zerindra is more than just a game; it’s a platform for change. It is designed to be:
• Simple & Engaging: Designed for easy use and consistent participation.
• Community Driven: Connects with like-minded individuals to foster a sense of shared purpose.
• Transparent & Fair: The unique formula rewards genuine effort and consistency.
• Ad-Free Experience: Allows users to focus on their actions without interruptions.
• Data Privacy: Personal user data is not shared with third parties for marketing.
Mutually Reinforcing: The "earn" mechanism reinforces the "purpose" of environmental action, creating a sustainable model for both user engagement and real-world impact.
Unlike some "play-to-earn" games where users build virtual fantasies to earn rewards, Zerindra is grounded in the physical reality we all share. There is no metaverse here - Zerindra "map" is the planet Earth, and the "quest" is to eliminate uncontrolled waste. Users do not play for fantasy assets; they act for tangible environmental preservation, ensuring that every unit token earned represents a verified positive action for the real world.
The "Play-to-Preserve" Model Unlike traditional charitable donations where money leaves your pocket with no return, Zerindra offers a gamified possibility:
• Primary Value: You verify your contribution to a cleaner planet ("Dispose the right way").
• Secondary Value: You compete for a share of the daily reward pool. This structure transforms environmental duty into an engaging, potentially rewarding pursuit. Even if a user does not "prevail" tokens, they have successfully converted their waste into verified impact, fulfilling the platform's core environmental mission.
9. Risks
Zerindra attempts to utilize human labor to secure environmental utility. And leverages the psychological drivers of gamification - specifically the "Act & Snap" and “Peer-to-Peer Validation” mechanics - to bridge the gap between individual civic duty and tangible economic reward. This is a variation of "Proof of Physical Work" (PoPW).
While designed for resilience, risks exist including but not limited to the following risks:
There is a risk that the Zerindra model fails to achieve sufficient user density during the Beta Phase, leading to a lack of data and a stagnant peer-validation network. Without a critical mass of active users, the transition to a self-sustaining community marketplace may be delayed or the ecosystem’s long-term viability compromised.
There is a risk that early users who accumulated tokens during the initial phase may sell large quantities after the Beta Phase, causing a drop in token value. Unlock period is designed for this risk but may not be enough to mitigate this risk.
If user growth slows down, the demand for tokens may decrease, potentially affecting the token ecosystem. The "Proof of Physical Work" verification is the single most critical defense against user growth slow but may not be enough to mitigate this risk.
Zerindra is fundamentally a competitive game, not an investment product. The demand for tokens is driven by the desire to participate in the League, climb the leaderboard, and verify one's environmental impact. Just as players pay entry fees for marathons or e-sports tournaments without guaranteed trophies, Zerindra users commit tokens to validate their "Proof of Physical Work." The value is derived from the utility of participation and the social status of verified impact, ensuring a baseline of demand from those committed to the mission, regardless of speculative market value.
Sybil attacks may happen. A network of Peer-to-Peer Human Validation makes it exponentially difficult for a single person to manage multiple active accounts without detection but may not be enough to mitigate this risk.
Zerindra is provided on an "as available" basis and may experience interruptions due to overload, technical maintenance, server downtimes, service failures, network congestion or "Force Majeure" events, including natural disasters, global cyber-attacks, or sudden regulatory shifts. In such instances, Zerindra will prioritize the protection of user data, though neither data protection, the timing of settlements and application access can be guaranteed.
Users may try to farm points with duplicate or fake photos. Honest users are incentivized to reject duplicate or fake photos because allowing cheaters to win reduces their own share of the daily rewards (zero-sum). Future updates will leverage AI to automatically flag duplicate or fake photos sourced from the internet before they even reach the peer validation stage. However, these may not be enough to mitigate this risk.
10. Zerindra Philosophy
The Story of Zerindra: A New Narrative for a Cleaner World
Zerindra - "Zero" (as in Net Zero) and "Indra" (protector), meaning "Zero Protector."
At the heart of Zerindra lies a simple realization: the path to a sustainable future is not paved with guilt, but with action. We are rewriting the story of climate action by shifting the focus from global anxiety to personal power.
A. Leading with Truth
We must begin by acknowledging the hard reality. Our planet is drowning in uncontrolled waste, and the scale of the climate crisis often feels paralyzing. For too long, the story told to individuals has been one of helplessness—that the problem is too big for any one person to solve. Zerindra leads with a different truth: Zero is not nothing. It is everything we save together. We acknowledge the crisis not to induce fear, but to define the battlefield where we can actually win.
B. Making Power Personal
We believe that true change happens when power is returned to the individual. Zerindra shrinks the global crisis down to the palm of your hand. It focuses on the small, immediate action: the decision to separate glass from plastic, to compost organic waste, to dispose of the right way. Through the "Act & Snap" mechanic, we provide immediate feedback for these micro-actions. Suddenly, the abstract concept of "saving the planet" becomes a tangible, daily victory. You are no longer a passive observer of climate change; you are an active agent of its solution.
3. Creating Connection Loops
Sustainability cannot happen in isolation. Zerindra transforms the solitary act of taking out the trash into a meaningful connection loop between people, products, and the planet. When you upload a photo, a fellow "leaguer" from halfway across the world validates it. In that moment, a bond is formed. You are seen. You are part of a global tribe of protectors. This sense of belonging turns a chore into a community ritual, proving that while we may be separated by borders, we are united by the waste we choose to control.
4. Inviting Joy
For too long, sustainability has been framed as a sacrifice—a duty to be endured. Zerindra flips the script by inviting joy into the process. We use gamification not just to hook users, but to enhance positive emotions. The thrill of maintaining a "Streak," the satisfaction of climbing the leaderboard, and the dopamine hit of earning ZRND tokens make doing the right thing feel good. We are proving that sustainability can be a source of wellbeing, excitement, and daily delight.
5. Weaving New Stories
Ultimately, Zerindra is about weaving a new story for humanity—one that honors both our harsh realities and our highest aspirations. We are building a platform where the ancient Wisdom of Nature guides our goals, the indomitable Spirit of Humanity drives the action, and the advanced Technology of AI ensures fairness and trust. This is not just a game; it is a glimpse of what is possible tomorrow. It is a story where technology doesn't distance us from the earth, but reconnects us to it, one verified action at a time.
This is Zerindra. One World. Zero Uncontrolled Waste.
